About Merideth Finn

Merideth Finn is an independent film and television producer with a distinguished 25-year career dedicated to crafting inspired and commercially successful content. Merideth is known for her ability to discover and develop ideas, mentor artists, and guide projects from inception to completion. Her expertise as a seasoned executive and producer includes story development, creative team building, casting, onset production oversight, and post-production work. Merideth consults for networks, media companies, and individuals to help them tell their stories across various formats, including film, TV, podcasts, and novels.

Before forming Cue the Dog Productions, Merideth ran the NY office of New Line Cinema, which became a division of Warner Bros. In her over 12 years as a studio executive, she oversaw development and production on many New Line, Fine Line & Picturehouse films.

With strong ties in publishing, Merideth specializes in realizing Intellectual Property through adaptation. She has collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers such as Sydney Pollack, Mike Newell, Stephen Daldry, Chris Noonan, James Bobin, Guillermo del Toro, Karen Moncrieff, Walter Salles, John Waters & Noah Baumbach. Merideth executive-produced V.C. Andrews’s classic FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC, which premiered on Lifetime to 6.6 million viewers and garnered an Emmy nomination. She executive-produced HARRY and MEGHAN: A ROYAL ROMANCE, which is the highest-rated television movie on any network since January 2017. Other titles produced for television include V.C. Andrews’s PETALS ON THE WIND, HARRY and MEGHAN: BECOMING ROYAL, HARRY and MEGHAN: ESCAPING THE PALACE, and V.C. Andrews’s THE DAWN SERIES (DAWN, SECRETS OF THE MORNING, TWILIGHT’S CHILD, and MIDNIGHT WHISPERS).

Among other theatrical film titles, Merideth executive-produced THE RITE, starring Anthony Hopkins; HALL PASS, The Farrelly Brothers’ comedy, starring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis; MY SISTER’S KEEPER, based on Jodi Picoult’s bestseller, starring Cameron Diaz; and directed by Nick Cassavetes.


As an acquisitions executive, Merideth acquired theatrical titles for Fine Line, New Line & Picturehouse, including Berman & Pulcini’s Academy Award™ nominated AMERICAN SPLENDOR; Alejandro Amenábar’s Academy Award™ winning THE SEA INSIDE; and Robert Altman’s A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION.

As a consultant, Merideth has worked for various companies, including Hallmark, NPR, Discovery, Magnolia, and several individuals to develop their stories and bring them to light.

Early in her career, Finn worked as a freelance script analyst, a development executive for Kopelson Entertainment, a film scout for Franklin & Siegal Associates, and as an intern at Heyday Films in London. Merideth lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, twin daughters, and two cats.
